CONTEXT
8-Bit Nutrition is another fun extracurricular project I have been working on for the better part of 2023. Partnered with Elevate Ventures and Notre Dame IDEA Center, 8-Bit Nutrition boasts a fun new design language for protein as well as a fresh formula on plant-based nutrition. This was a fun challenge for me in the sense that I hadn't had experience working with consumer goods outside of work in college. I learned so much about product marketing, branding and protein formulation.
CHALLENGES
Entering the consumer goods market, and more specifically the supplement market, was extremely tough to navigate. Operating with almost zero startup capital, we put together the packaging, the site, and the formulation with a very lean budget. I learned how difficult marketing on social media is, as well as consumer product/packaging design.
LEARNINGS
Creating a consumer supplement brand is tough. Now I know how to create a delicious, plant-based protein.
